How to Book with Journey South Travel

A representative from Journey South will talk with you at length about your travel plans. We like to get to know you, work within your budget and taste and create an itinerary to suit your personality. We understand this could be a once in a lifetime vacation and so the more information we can get up front will ensure you enjoy just the holiday you have dreamed about. Depending on the detail we may request a non refundable upfront planning fee that will come off the total trip cost when you book.

If you are happy with the itinerary and would like to move forward and confirm reservations we require a non refundable $500 per person deposit. Once received we will then go ahead and request all of your land arrangements such as hotels, tours and transfers. If we are assisting with airfare we also recommend you purchase airfare at this time to lock in the rates. We will advise of any further supplier deposits and airfare amounts required at this time. If you are booking within 8 weeks of departure full payment will be requested at the time of booking.

At this time we also request copies of your passports and advise what visas may be required.

Once your booking is confirmed we send you a confirmation itinerary/invoice. Please note if original services are not available we work with you to choose suitable alternatives – pricing could therefore change if different suppliers are used. We will discuss that with you if and when that arises.

Final payment is then due 8 weeks prior to your departure.

Final travel documents will be emailed to you approximately 3 weeks prior to departure. Any late changes to the itinerary may result in delayed documents. All supplier confirmations and contact details will be provided at this time along with a 24 hour helpline should you need it whist traveling.
